1. Information We Collect
When you use Orchid, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you sign up with email or Sign in with Apple.
- Partner pairing data: A unique pairing code to connect you with your partner within the app.
- User-created content: Wallpapers, drawings, and sticker arrangements you create and send to your partner.
- Device photos: Only photos you explicitly select to add to your wallpaper canvas. We do not access your full photo library.
- Purchase information: Records of in-app purchases are managed by Apple and we only store your premium status.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To pair you with your partner and deliver wallpapers between you
- To store your canvas state so you can resume editing
- To sync your premium status with your partner
- To send you notifications when your partner sends a wallpaper
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage). All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Wallpaper images are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and are only accessible to you and your paired partner.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only shared with:
- Your paired partner: Wallpapers and your display name are shared with your connected partner.
- Firebase (Google): As our infrastructure provider for authentication, database, and file storage.
- Apple: For processing in-app purchases and Sign in with Apple.
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and associated content will be removed from our servers. Cached sticker images on your device are stored locally and can be cleared by deleting the app.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Access your account information within the app
- Delete your account and all associated data from the app settings
- Opt out of notifications through your device settings
7. Children's Privacy
Orchid is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
